Event Announcement: Potential Liability for Advocates and Clients with Sandy Flood Ins. Claims
We are now at a critical phase in the Sandy relief effort with looming flood insurance deadlines. This is a minefield of potential liability for advocates. In an effort to help all advocates during these next stages, Touro Law School will present a workshop on Friday, December 13 from 11AM-2PM in Room 210 of the Law School.
This workshop will feature Wolff & Samson’s Christopher Gerold, Esq. and claims consultant David Charles, President of Master Claims Consultants. The workshop’s goal is to discuss how to protect yourself and your clients in Sandy flood insurance claims and to establish a strategy and action plan going forward. We will walk through the steps for analyzing a claim from intake to file review to developing a claims package and strategy and action plan for going forward, through to negotiation and filing a lawsuit if and when necessary. This workshop will also be beneficial for non-lawyers including disaster case managers. We anticipate that this will also be beneficial for the NY Rising and Build it Back Programs for documenting and valuing Sandy losses.
Please RSVP to Charity Rodriquez (email@example.com) by Thursday, December 12th.
